Why Being A Disciple Is Hard
Because living like Jesus is a whole life commitment and not a Sunday go-to-meeting kinda thing.
MATTHEW 16:24 Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
Why Making Disciples is Hard
Because our rhythms are off and we assume it’s the job of professional pastors. But Scripture is clear that disciplemaking is the job of the whole church. And we should all be inviting others to live like Jesus and then helping them do it. But it will mean changing the rhythms of our life to actually practice this daily.
Anyone can attend church… but if you’re reading this, or if you’ve been to our church, then you’re probably open to making a connection with God and with other seekers. So, how do you make those connections? Well, we encourage you to read below and then visit our
Welcome Centre in the foyer after one of our morning services where someone will give you some information and then help you take the next step!
See, while everyone is at a different point in the journey, and everyone’s path is unique to them, there are some common learnings and skills everyone who wants to follow Jesus needs to learn. So, where do you begin? One of our pastors can walk you through a PDP (Personal-Discipleship-Plan) to help you plan out your growth path. After that, sign up for our DiscipleMakers Trainings. This is a training process based on the T4T method (Training 4 Trainers) created by Ying Kai. This will solidify your faith and give you simple, reproducible and rapid tools to make your own disciples and share the Gospel with others. Then we invite you to try out one of our small groups. Growth is always better and more fun in community with other believers. Just let us know when you want to take your next step…
Jesus was not just a master teacher and He was more than a moral model. The Scriptures remind us (John 14:6) that the Jesus way; the Jesus truth; and the Jesus life, works in real life, and this is what Jesus said His way, His truth, and His Life was all about… “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45). There are many ways to serve if you know how God has wired you, but we can also help you experiment or try out some ways to serve to find your favorite fit. Check out the Welcome Centre or call the church office.
